We desire to provide a warm and spiritual atmosphere in which you can find eternal and lasting peace through faith in Jesus Christ. For those who are believers, we encourage spiritual development and growth through Bible study and teaching.
We are a company of baptized believers who gather regularly unto the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Since the early 1920s, we have met in Windsor, Ontario as a local church to serve God and the community in this way.
We are guided by a group of overseers/elders, raised up by the Holy Spirit, who are accountable to God alone for responsibility over the local church. We enjoy fellowship with other autonomous, like-minded, Scripturally-led assemblies throughout the world.
How We Gather And Why
We gather as a local church, claiming the promise of the Lord Jesus (Matthew 18:20) promising to be in our midst. The most significant meeting of the church is the one the Lord introduced before his death; He told His disciples to remember Him by partaking of bread and wine as symbols of His body and blood. Following the teaching of the Lord and the example of the Apostles, we meet weekly to remember the Lord Jesus and His death for us.
The first hour of the meeting is for worship and congregational singing. Without pre-arrangement, the meeting is open for men in church fellowship to stand and lead the congregation in praise and worship of Christ for his person and work at the cross.
Sunday School is taught in the lower level of the Hall. Young people from ages 3 to 16 are the focus of this program. After a time of group singing and activities, the children are divided into classes where they are taught a broad range of stories and principles from the Bible. Our teachers also sponsor several special events throughout the year, including the annual Sunday School picnic.
